Hey guys!
It's fast-approaching Christmas, which is a time that a lot of people enjoy. In the spirit of things, we wanted to run a Christmas contest, but, by scanning over DeviantArt and other groups, we saw that, naturally, a lot of other groups had the same idea. We don't much fancy running a contest that's almost identical to other contests on DA – a simple Christmas-themed pony contest is something that you can take part in elsewhere. We also realised that, if we did do yet another Christmas pony contest, we'd likely see a lot of people submitting a single contest entry to several similarly-themed contests. It would be the natural thing to do, and so we wouldn't necessarily blame anyone if t
November/December MLP Plush Contest/GiveawayWith Christmas right around the corner (someone just reminded me how it's only 7 weeks away... ugh) I decided that instead of doing two separate contests for November and December, I would combine them  into one extra special version for the holidays. This will give me some extra time to catch up on previous winners' plushies, work on commissions, and spend some time with the family, and also give everyone some extra time to enter!
This contest is all about art in any form. I don't want to limit any kind of media, so anything and everything will be accepted. From traditional art, photoshop, music, comics, sculpture, poems, short stories, videos, to anything else you can think of! Try to think outside the box on this one and of course have fun!
There will be a top 10 chosen by myself, with the winners being chosen by voting again. I still have some tweaking to do with the way voting will work, but details on that will come later.

What must you do?

What the Judge's Were Saying A very clever choice of drawing a rat who wants to to be cook just like a human, and a former human who's now cooking as a frog! Haha. Very, very clever choice of characters with a humorous picture!

What the Judge's Were Saying: The idea that Merlin is giving the Fairy Godmother magic counseling over tea is hilarious. Not to mention, what Merlin says is quite clever because you never think about the midnight thing being an issue in the movie.

First of all, an apology for the former contest.
My honest opinion on the idea was that it would be a good opportunity to help someone out and beneficial to the winning plushie maker. You have argued that this is not the case and I am sorry, I only want my group to be happy. So two hours ago I made a poll for the NEW Oct/Nov contest.
So, the NEW contest will be Autumn / Fall themed. Plush something that YOU feel describes Autumn / Fall. It could be an animal, it could contain certain autumnal colours, it could be a plushie dressed in a raincoat and boots, it is up to you!

Artist Vs Artist Tournament
This exciting event idea comes from :icondesuroo:. It is a knock-out tournament in which entrants are pitted against each other over several rounds - each round you are given a different theme and have two weeks to make a piece of art based on that theme. The entries are judged on creativity, effort, technical skill and how well it fits with the theme, and the winner of each pair of entrants advances to the next round! :woohoo:

Halloween Contest!It has come to my attention that we have not had a contest
for quite a while. So I am introducing a new contest,
though it is a little bit late: Nightmare
Night/Halloween/Day of the Dead Pony Contest! Yes, I
debated on Christmas, because it is farther off, but my
love of Halloween restrained me.
Because Halloween is in a mere week and a half, this
contest will actually end November ninth at midnight,
voting starting the tenth. This will give everyone about
three weeks to come up with an idea, which I hope will be
ample time. After all, we don't stop eating our candy after
Halloween, do we?

-Pony creators are not allowed.
-Bases are allowed, but only in body; this would be because
designs involve hair style as well as colors.
-Species are all forms of pony, including made-up ones,

It’s time for the Hearths Warming Eve Contest to begin!
We are hoping to have a really great turnout this year and we encourage everyone to participate.

Entering the Contest Conditions:


  • Submissions open November 14th.

  • The submission can be any piece of art that adheres the following criteria:

    • Must be Festive: Can contain themes of Christmas both secular and religious, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Hearths Warming Eve, etc.

    • No Rule34

    • No Humans allowed

    • No non-ponies, except for Spike and Gilda.

    • No Crossovers

    • Cannot contain any mature themes such as: Violence, Gore, Drugs, Sexual themes, etc.

    (The 2nd place prize plus however many extra points we've managed to reach after 2nd and 3rd place prizes are taken out.)

I withdrew the first piece to submit the second one, but I got blocked by the 1 submission limitation. Could someone please manually add my new piece for the contest?
